Tel Aviv, 18 mar. (askanews) - Sono morti i due cittadini israeliani rimasti gravemente feriti in seguito all'impatto di un missile balistico iraniano nel quartiere di Ramat Gan, alla periferia di Tel Aviv. Lo riferisce il servizio di ambulanze Magen David Adom citato da the Times of Israel.
I media ebraici hanno identificato le due vittime: si tratta di una coppia di settantenni che si trovava nella tromba delle scale del loro condominio al momento dell'impatto, indicando che si stavano dirigendo verso il rifugio antiaereo dell'edificio.
La polizia israeliana ha segnalato anche la caduta di frammenti di proiettili nella stessa area, attribuiti ad attacchi iraniani.

L'esercito israeliano (Idf) afferma di aver avviato un'operazione di terra mirata contro obiettivi chiave nel Libano meridionale, spingendo ulteriori forze più in profondità nell'area, nell'ambito di una "zona cuscinetto ampliata". Secondo quanto riferito dai militari, la 91ª Divisione Regionale 'Galilea' ha lanciato un'incursione nella tarda serata di sabato nel settore orientale del Libano meridionale, durante la quale le truppe hanno individuato e ucciso diversi membri di Hezbollah.

L'Idf afferma che l'operazione mira ad ampliare "l'area di difesa avanzata". Cosa vuol dire? Le Forze di Difesa Israeliane (Idf) si stanno preparando a schierare ulteriori forze nel Libano meridionale e ad ampliare ulteriormente la propria zona cuscinetto per allontanare la minaccia di Hezbollah dal confine.

The Israeli military (IDF) says it has launched a targeted ground operation against key objectives in southern Lebanon, pushing further forces deeper into the area as part of an “expanded buffer zone.” According to military sources, the 91st Galilee Regional Division launched an incursion late Saturday evening in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon, during which troops identified and killed several Hezbollah members.

The IDF says the operation aims to expand “the area of advanced defense.” What does that mean? “This operation is part of the efforts to establish an advanced defense, which includes the destruction of terrorist infrastructure and the elimination of terrorists operating in the area, in order to remove threats and create an additional level of security for the residents of the north,” the army explained, as reported by the Times of Israel.

Meanwhile, the 146th Reserve Division remains deployed in the western sector of southern Lebanon, while the 36th Division is conducting an incursion in the Rab al-Thalathine area. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are preparing to deploy further forces in southern Lebanon and further expand their buffer zone to distance the threat of Hezbollah from the border.

Alcune persone infatti avrebbero riconosciuto uno dei quattro sospettati come l'uomo che era alla guida della vettura che si era allontanata pochi istanti dopo lo scoppio dell'incendio.
