I agree the Greens need to find a better balance between backing and blocking government bills but if they always land on backing it reduces their power to try and to improve bills before they pass
I'd love to see the Greens put a scorecard on their website that lists every bill they vote on this term and if they backed or blocked it and why, along with what changes they won if any
That way we can just point people who say they are blockers to it and say there's the list
Not sure I agree with the comparison between land tax and rates and unrealised capital gains in super
If the value of your property goes down you pay land tax or rates on the reduced amount, unrealised capital losses complicates things
It's messy including unrealised capital gains and I think it would be better if it wasn't part of the change
Just cap super and stop people running businesses in super instead, it's meant to be for retirement not tax avoidance
