You know a game is sh*t when you're more excited about the re-release of its previous iterations than about new content.
Anyway, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the franchise, EA has re-released (...for a price, of course) all games and packs of TS1 and TS2 !

Crest of LightI have never been so excited and then disgusted within 5 seconds of learning something that should be amazing; EA naturally bombs any hope I had for this remaster of The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 because it requires their putrid EA App.
Yeah, I could use Lutris, I don't want to bother because these little barriers to entry are unnecessary; I can't be arsed to pay EA money to get the privilege to jump over those barriers. That and Denuvo being used makes my interest wane doubly fast, I despise anti-tamper software like this.
I'll just sit this one out, unless they release it for Xbox too. I would be surprised they'd leave money on the table, but it wouldn't surprise me either. ROFL

Here's the example of an oversight in The Sims 1:
Before the Hot Date expansion pack, there were no interests feature at all. Depending on someone's interest, they will get along with whoever they are talking to about what subject. Without it, you will struggle to make friends as well.. they have no interest in anything
Premade household before that expansion pack (eg. the Goths family) does not have any points to any of the interest. The only way to generate it is sending them to an community lot and do that to every single Sim who also have no points in any of the interests.
There's an mod called Interests Adjuster which all you had to do is place that object to your lot and any Sim that currently is on there will have their interest generated.
