A ★★★★½ review of The Sheep Detectives (2026)

George Hardy is a sheep farmer who is very content with his life in the quaint little town of Denbrook in England. He loves his sheep so much that he not only names them (“all sheep should have a name” he says) but he also reads them murder mysteries every night. When George winds up getting killed, the sheep take it upon themselves to solve his murder. Of course, they talk to each other and to them, they form words but for humans it’s just a series of bleats. And, like any good murder mystery, of course, there’s a long
