i finally watched The Secret Agent and i loved it. absolutely spellbinding, i couldnt take my eyes off the movie

Is The Secret Agent good?
I'm not sure of what to think. It's a complicated movie, and I loved the full immersion in 1970s Brazil, the mesmerising profusion of characters, the bombardment of cultural references, some of the acting, but I also disliked the many distracting subplots, the weak story, and the (pointless?) ending.
Oh, well.
