Ep8: A saw a complaint earlier that the #Xenomorph looks like a guy in a suit because we see it so clearly.
As far as I can tell, most of the time, we only see partial images of it, or a computer generated version quickly massacring people, which make it look pretty alien, EXCEPT the one scene where it inspects a deceased Arthur on the beach being eaten by a crab. It's still a partial shot, but the way it moves really looks like a guy in a costume on all fours.
Ep8: There's a lot of misguided/misplaced anger in this episode. Wendy and The Lost Boys seem to think Dame Sylvia and Kirsh abused them somehow when, in truth, they both were trying to nurture the Hybrids as best they could. The people really to blame for abuse are Morrow and Boy Kavalier.
Another story of creations turning against their creator? I think the real monsters here might be the Hybrids. 🤔
Ep8: Seems like in that final scene, Wendy decided Marcy was dead and that she was something else.
Ep8: Wendy/Marcy definitely goes a little megalomaniac in this episode. Once she realizes how much power she wields, she starts to flaunt it.
Ep8: Is this the first time anyone besides Ripley, while infected with a Xenomorph Queen, has survived being THAT close to a #Xenomorph's face?
It's kind of elegant that the series gets bookended by the scene in ep2 of Kavalier saying he wants to finally have an interesting conversation, and then it ends with the scene in ep8 with Wendy telling him that he is not actually a boy, but just an angry man.
I have questions.
If all this crap was happening on Earth BEFORE #Alien, why the heck did Weland Yutani need the Nostromo to save the #Xenomorph?
Really? The best they could do was #WestWorld?
I'll say this, though: despite what I read, this isn't nearly the cliffhanger ending of #RaisedByWolves. This story is pretty self-contained. Certainly, it's a bit open-ended, and the characters are stupid, but I get what happened here.
Kevin is satisfied. 🤷♂️
I want to thank everyone for letting me know how underwhelming this final episode is. My expectations are set suitably low. 👍
