I will confess that while it’s not a core part of the genre, I always appreciate just a touch of supernatural in my giallos. The Psychic scratches that itch nicely enough. Honestly, being a Fulci film it wasn’t what I expected; I’m more used to his gorier work and the only giallo I had seen of his before now was The New York Ripper, which leans much harder into his violence and sleaze. That said, it was a pleasant surprise because this feels like a more coherent and restrained film than Ripper but still contains touches of the Fulci I
