About halfway through watching this documentary on The Name of the Rose (1986) - fascinating amount of detail!! The fact that it was made by a filmmaker and fan of the movie definitely shows. I love that he got to interview Ron Perlman and Jean-Jacques Annaud.

It’s pretty obvious why the church wants to stop William of Baskerville.

It’s because of his research into the Holy Grail. And that his son found the Arc Of The Covenant.

And also that he was about to defect to America in the Red October.

I know people are a fan of the original book, but Sean Connery is bringing his A game here.

I’m always a fan of a classic Sean Connery performance.
