The Mystery Lights « Purgatory »
Stesso anno, stesso genere, stesso suono antiquato, ma il disco è fatto così bene, le melodie sono così perfette, la carica così potente e portata avanti senza sforzo che è difficile resistergli.

The Mystery Lights:
🎵 Kids Of Today
The music of The Mystery Lights locks in on the vintage psychedelic meets garage sound of the '60s, especially with the stylistic choices they make in their instrumentation and delivery.

The Mystery Lights is a throwback band that taps into the garage sound of the late '60s. They may be based in the New York area, but their style, instrumentation ideas, and the quirks of their delivery tend to draw from the vintage West Coast psychedelic/garage mixture that was prevalent during that period. The fact that the core of the band was formed in Salinas, CA might have something to do with it. They bring the vibes of a bygone era to contemporary audiences with the tone of the fuzz, the bare guitar, the waka waka rhythms, and that glorious Farfisa tone on the keyboards, all purposefully put in place to promote that particular sound, bolstered by their lo-fi esthetic and fondness for laying a rough surface on their music.
The Mystery Lights is a band that has mastered the vintage garage-turns-psychedelic sound of the '60s. Our #SongoftheDay is "Mighty Fine & All Mine". Catchy as catchy gets, and the vibes are dead on.
