El mismo día de San Isidro, y vestido de la guisa que mostraba abajo, me fui a ver a #ThePandoras, las reinas del revival #GaragePunk de fines de los #80s y primeros #90s.

Ya no están ni la líder original (la guitarrista y cantante #PaulaPierce; fallecida en 1991) ni la bajista/guitarrista/vocalista #KimShattuck (que formó con #MelanieVammen #TheMuffs en 1991 pero falleció en 2019 de ELA).

Aún así, quedan dos miembros de la formación clásica (1986) de la banda: la mencionada Melanie Vammen a las teclas y la segunda guitarra, y la baterista #KarenBasset, convertida en guitarrista y vocalista (lo que tienen las carreras musicales extendidas), más una bajista y una basterista más jóvenes.

Dieron un concierto estupendo.

Southern California’s The Muffs were led by singer and guitarist Kim Shattuck. The band would breakup in 1999, 2004 and 2019, respectively. “Lucky Guy” (https://tinyurl.com/43nr8m9a) / No Strobe: (https://tinyurl.com/3zn4su7t) is from their self titled debut album (https://tinyurl.com/5n6esu23). The bands final album was 2019’s “No Holiday” (https://tinyurl.com/zzm898d3) was released after Kim Shattuck’s passing due to ALS at age 56.
