Tim Walz may have the fabled "Minnesota Nice" but he didn't get to be governor by being a pushover. National Republicans may not quite know how to respond to him.

For America’s Midwest, Flooding Is Becoming Worse Because As The Atmosphere Becomes Warmer It Holds More Water, kinda like forested land that absorbs water and holds back flooding.

Since the late 1950’s, on the average, rainfall has increased and spring weather has become wetter.
This trend is not only expected to continue, but to become
FAR WORSE,
unpredictable, widespread and extreme as the global average temperature continues to increase over the next 20-years and beyond, with largely unabated climate change.

The thing is, we have the knowledge, resources and technology to not only
STOP THIS TREND, BUT EVEN REVERSE IT: .

1) Convert the world to a clean-energy economy in the next 20-years and cut fossil-fuel-derived CO2 to net-zero.

2) Restore forests by planting up to 500 billion to one trillion trees native to regions around the world.

3) Build and operate at least 20,000, if not a lot more, direct carbon capture machines around the world to remove surplus atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2). .

Right now, with 500 billion tons of surplus CO2 in the atmosphere,
we need to remove up to 300 billion tons of surplus atmospheric CO2 to stop today’s climate change. Roughly 500 billion mature trees can remove a maximum of 100 billion tons of atmospheric CO2. However, planting billions of trees is easier said than done. In many ways, it’s easier to build thousands of direct air capture machines and get more precise and immediate results than with billions of new trees.
