My Facebook comment asked who remembered the time when the Latchis was operated, in the 1970s, as the Capra Theatre. It ran double features of classic movies. Some favorites included Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, and the Marx Brothers. We used to watch from the balcony but it seems to me the balcony may have been closed before the Capra run ended. Planet of the Apes drew the biggest crowds but I skipped that one.
