I’d give The Match (2025) a 4/5. It’s a really well-acted sports drama that focuses more on the relationship between the characters than on flashy competition. The story about the rivalry between Go master Cho Hun-hyun and his student Lee Chang-ho is surprisingly engaging, even if you don’t know much about the game. Lee Byung-hun is excellent and carries a lot of the emotional weight of the film. The mentor-turned-rival dynamic feels natural and adds real tension as the story progresses. The pacing is slower and more thoughtful than most sports movies, but that actually works in its favor, making
