We went to The LUME yesterday to see the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition before it finishes its run. As always, it was incredible. It was a little different inside than normal, as in addition to the digital displays, they had a large number of replicas of his inventions, and original pages from the Codex Atlanticus. I’ll share a few photos in this thread.

Today we head home, but first, a visit to The LUME for their Connections exhibition, featuring art and music from over 100 contemporary First National artists. Once again they’ve created something special.

I used to frown upon the idea of existing visual art being replicated in digital format for an exhibition, but THE LUME gallery in Melbourne was quite a captivating and immersive experience, complete with carefully crafted interactive activities that transport visitors into the heart of the art. From the expertly curated soundbites on art history to the thoughtful touches found in the café and gift shop, no detail has been overlooked in the execution of this awe-inspiring gallery. The grandeur of it all makes it a worthwhile visit for both tourists and locals. #TheLume #melbourne
