An important thing to know about #TheLongestPromise is that there is a scene towards the end where #XiaoZhan's character is in a hot spring.

The female lead is pretending to be his maidservant and is trying to help him bathe.

He's lost his memory and doesn't know who she is, but he figures out pretty quickly that she doesn't know anything about being a maidservant.

He's wearing an undershirt to preserve his modesty, but is otherwise scandalously underdressed. 1/2

I'm still watching #TheLongestPromise. Up to episode 34 and right now it feels like I'm enduring it rather than enjoying it.

I get so aggravated when good people do dumb things because they don't have all the information they need.

I'm up to the part of #TheLongestPromise where everything seems to be going swimmingly.

Shi Ying & Zhi Yuan have brokered a truce between the Kongsang & the Merfolk, everyone seems to be going along with it, Zhu Yan told the emperor off and got away with only an awkward public spanking while she cried and smiled at Shi Ying ...

I should just stop watching at this point and let myself believe that they all lived happily ever after.

I already thought the Chief Sorceror was a total hottie.

But then he died, and the demonic powers brought him back, and all his clothes above the waist were blasted off by the force of it.

And WOW is he thick and delightful.

Why weren't his pants blasted off too? Cowards!
