To me, it’s a profound portrayal of the tension between the observer and the observed—almost like a love story between myself as Georg and Ulrich Mühe as Mielke. I just watched “Das Leben der Anderen” or “The Lives of Others” (2006).
Absolutely incredible, cathartically tragic. Such depth and realism. I haven’t seen a film this compelling in years.
