For a while Johnny's voice got so jaundiced and gossamer-thin, you'd think his vocal folds had been replaced by corn husks! But it's what he left us, utterly affective, part and parcel to his essential beauty. Miss him.

Annoyingly I don't own a physical copy of this although it did get a vinyl release in 2009 - but I keep hoping one will turn up in my xmas stocking some time. This is an absolute gem, and sometimes it's my absolute favourite xmas song.
