Really what I wanted to post here was my friend @Mustbetuesday 's "Orange Pop Song", but I couldn't find it on Yotube or Soundcloud, so I'm falling back to this one.

I had the "Children of The Unicorn" album as a child, which also had "The Unicorn" on it, but not this song. I found this album at the library as an adult, looking for the other album. This song is, I guess, about the lighter side of being caught between Catholic and Protestant culture in Ireland as the child of a mixed marriage. Released a year after The Troubles kicked into gear...

Well, that was interesting. I walked in the room where an interview on TV was taking place about the Irish Troubles. I looked up the author #PatrickKeith and thought it was a book, and it is, so #bookstodon . Wrong about what the promo was for, though--#SayNothing is a show on #Hulu now.

The Irish tend to have gallows humor about things so I'm going to take this opportunity to mention #TheIrishRovers who had this take on "The Orange And The Green"
