I watched The History Of Sound tonight and really loved it. It even brought a few tears to my eyes. I liked this movie better than Pillion.
It's Wednesday, it's movie review blog day! This week:

The History of Sound
Directed by Oliver Hermanus; starring Paul Mescal, Josh O’Connor; written by Ben Shattuck (2h08m)
1920. A young man’s trip with his lover to record American folksongs shapes the rest of his life.
A deep and moving character study that flags a bit in its middle part but comes together beautifully in the last act thanks to some powerful dramatic twists, clever editing and a nuanced but layered performance by Paul Mescal.
Rating: B-
The History of Sound is a good movie, but for a story with so much potential, lacks passion and gets a bit shoddy at the end.
O'Connor and Mescal are great and so are a few of the other actors. And nice music.
The History of Sound, Oliver Hernanus
