I have a soft spot for the original #TheHandThatRocksTheCradle from the early 90s. The recent "reimagination" is actually not bad. It's a distinctly different movie, starting from the fact that there is no initial indication that the nanny is evil. We just know it, because we've seen the original. The game smartly plays with this extrinsic audience knowledge. It's a very dark tale of guilt and atonement. Fewer obvious thrills, but much more grey psychology.
