There were many routes the brigade trails used through the Grande Prairie region. Some of them were North West Company trails for the provisioning brigades, which others were truly brigade trails for the HBC. There are many reasons why no one can find the old Brigades trails when they were once everywhere in the territory west of the Rocky Mountains. One of the most obvious reasons is that more recent infrastructure buried the trails.
