Just finished watching #TheGallowsPole and am happy to report that it's the best thing I've seen on tv in absolutely ages. Imagine Peaky Blinders, only... actually good
Watched episode 1 of #TheGallowsPole . From the intro, was expecting something like C18th #PeakyBlinders. Instead, it was an hour of Yorkshiremen swearing at one another and complaining about how shite things are. The credits were the most interesting part of the entire episode. Disappointed.
This evening’s amble pic is of sunshine on the Cut. Can I also say how good #TheGallowsPole was on the telly. Superb stuff, trippy, naturalistic, strange and beautiful all at the same time. Yer man Meadows did a top notch job, and a part of the world in which we have been known to amble

Right, then. I've been out and about way too much this week. Time for some #introvert time, involving my sofa, a glass of #wine, plus episodes 2 and 3 of #TheGallowsPole.

How good and original is this show? And the soundtrack is awesome, too. I nearly wet myself when I saw #Goat were doing the music.

Don’t usually bother with telly on here but just to say the adaptation of #TheGallowsPole on BBC2 this evening was superb. I enjoyed the book and was looking forward to the adaptation, but it was even better than I could have imagined. Highly recommended.
