Idiot/SavantWatched episode 1 of #TheGallowsPole . From the intro, was expecting something like C18th #PeakyBlinders. Instead, it was an hour of Yorkshiremen swearing at one another and complaining about how shite things are. The credits were the most interesting part of the entire episode. Disappointed.

How good and original is this show? And the soundtrack is awesome, too. I nearly wet myself when I saw #Goat were doing the music.

Don’t usually bother with telly on here but just to say the adaptation of #TheGallowsPole on BBC2 this evening was superb. I enjoyed the book and was looking forward to the adaptation, but it was even better than I could have imagined. Highly recommended.
