The Queensland Government has announced The Gabba in central Brisbane will be demolished for housing and entertainment development after the 2032 Summer Olympics, with the Lions playing at the new Victoria Park stadium from 2033. The Gabba has been the home ground of the Brisbane Bears since 1993, before the club merged with Fitzroy in 1997 to form the Brisbane Lions.
