The newest one I have is the last of @cstross ' #Laundry novels, The Regicide Report.
I don't know if you are ready up in that series, I think this is good so far but probably not an ideal entry point.
#ArtificialNoodle is slightly but amusing.
#Scalzi's #OldMansWar series has another one out, a reasonable continuation. The first one was another good effort at a response to #StarshipTroopers the #Heinlein book not film, and to #Haldeman 's #TheForeverWar

Reminder that the UNDHR includes the âRight to rebellionâ - the same right that Jews practiced against Nazi Germany.
Listen:
Former Chief of Shin Bet,
Israeli secret services, asked:
âIf you were a Palestinian living in the West Bank or Gaza, what would your view of Israel be?â

I am not normally a fan of #1970s #scifi but #TheForeverWar by #Haldeman is exceptional. Tis like a scifi equivalent to The Red Badge of Courage. Ok, granted, some bits haven't aged well but it's still an insightful piece of work. (I'd say more but avoiding spoilers.)
(Edit- there's a reference to a stargate on page 106 of my copy of The Crow Road by Iain Banks. I am guessing that this book is the influence.)
I have no idea what this game will end up being, but this is a really compelling 5- minute short film.
I had also just finished #TheForeverWar, so I was primed for this kinda of story.

In science fiction, time is often presented as both mundane (âwell, duhâ) and truly bizarre (âwait, what?!â) simultaneously. I think it was in The Forever War by Joe Haldeman, where starships built later arrived before those built earlier because of technological advances in the interim.
