What’s the worst thing about the world of your story?

The Eltaryn: a species or a two species bond, at least it seems like such. Hard to tell if anything they do is attack, kill non members or seem to kidnapping whole planetary populations.
They already attacked Terra once, they attacked Morrakhar once.
The Union exists to defend other worlds from this destiny.

It's scary to see two species so hellbent on killing others cooperate which each other & the only common things are, they kill, are unnatural blue, don't communicate in any understandable way & they work very well together.
3-4 meter blue Mad Max Gorilla Hulks & 5 cm to 10 meters cockroach spider xenomorphs.
Ships that don't fit, biological & crude stappled together. Oh & they don't 'die' like other species, they turn to grey, fine dust.

Or is it the white noise? That weird sickness letting people freeze for seconds?

consistent knowledge about their own past it's all speculation, that said Ariaene has come up with a own System to archive important memories they are unable to keep long term, that isn't reliant on computers.

Villains
The Eltaryn
Seemingly 2 Species, one that has the capacity of creating crude looking armor and weapons and the other seems completely engineered towards combat with symbiotic weaponry and body armor. Both capable of faster than light spaceflight in partly biological ships, both species & their tech dissolve into dust if defeated or heavily wounded.
They seem not interested in speaking and are incredibly hostile, dangerous and ruthless, without any respect for their own lives, It seems logical that they have some sort of education to maintain this level of "Culture."

In a galactic level or local.
Local people don't give much of a crap about it in a galactic level there are planets that do not have the abilities to communicate outside their systems or even with other planets. On this worlds facts are often less precise and people need to figure stuff out themself which often leads to widespread misinformation and such stuff.
The Union does its best to prevent auch isolated bubbles and tries to break them up as soon a species is capable of Interstellar/interplanetary travel.

The Eltaryn are sadly more mysts than fact despite being fought back regularly.

brute force strategies, the "Rillaz" use crude weapons that look like some one rammed a garbage freighter into a weapon manufacturing company and ran with it.

The "Roaches" use biological weapons like acid myst/spray, parasitic ammunition, that looks like tiny insect's them self or parts of bones that have a high impact not only physical bit also psychological.

Both are using brute force and mass deployment of troops and they clearly work together against everyone else.

Is your antagonist (or villain) keeping any secrets?

The Antagonists
AI: The only thing that isn't a secret it exists, has power & control over people.
Ariaene (AJ): What secrets Ariaene keeps is unknown even to them self, there is some cruel practicality on besides of AI to keep them in their services. Since they can't remember with certainty anything & only gets fractured memories, if anything, if they try to remember. They don't ask much, to much planning costs time that AJ doesn't have.

The Bad guys.
The Eltaryn, the only things that are known, they are probably two species (or one with incredible dimorphism), maybe one clan/religion or folk. They are bluish to purplish (like through a bad filter) they have gorilla likes that are armed like Mad Max & Cockroach likes that have biological weapons, they are hostile, their tech scatters to dust as their dead do.

Where was your antagonist (or your villain) born?

Villains:
The Eltaryn are of unknown origin, the earliest encounters are Terra, Morrakhar (Talithi Homeworld) & Trellwa'ni ships close to a region in space that is called Ghost Stars, mainly because the amount of habitable worlds in that area is very low & even star systems tend to be more isolated as in the rest of the galaxy.

Antagonists:
AI could be born everywhere they make a big deal out of the mystery shrouding them. No name no identificational patterns & even the voice differs from encounter to encounter without any traces it's hard to find an origin.

AJ, Ariaene Johnsen
Ariaene stems from a beautiful garden world, at least that's what they believe. They has fractured memories about a childhood on a lush beautiful world with mangrove like forests & large corn fields together with KJ.

The best protection Is not to get caught in it the wrong way do trust your Slyder (Slyde operator) /Pilot.

The Eltaryn
Seemingly 2 species, one Biomechanical Xenomorphic looking giant, different shades of blue to purple, 1-12 mtrs, cockroaches, spiders and crab like creatures with more appendices as a creature should have, the other 3-8 mtr tall, blue to purple, Mad Max style, bald gorillas. What they unite seems pure blood lust for everyone not am Eltaryn and they so not communice in any recognizable way. You can't capture them or study the corpses either because they always turn to grey dust. First drying rapidly out when captured or injured enough than breaking up like volcanic earth and than turn to dust, same goes for their ships, however if captured it takes some time till this starts usually 3-5 Minutes.
It's kill or be killed on sight.

The Eltaryn are also relatable for me from my time as an mobbing victim.
At least that I channel my anger and rage I felt back in the day into their destructive capabilities.
If you never had a mental break down in which you crashed everything that you liked you probably can't relate to this primal anger, this guttural rage that burns behind your eyes, drives your blood pressure up to record heights. That moment when just something snaps inside you, all the pressure that threatened to let your eyes pop out of their sockets, suddenly stream lines into pure, liquid, burning rage, that nothing has to stand in your way if it doesn't want to be smashed into pieces...
