The characters Amy Blue and Jordan White, played by Rose McGowan and James Duval respectively, are loosely based on comic book character by outsider artist Mark Breyer of the same name. His work was fairly popular in the late 1980s & 1990s with his animated shorts “The Adventures of Thomas and Nardo” appearing on MTV’s “Liquid Televsion” (https://tinyurl.com/2js9kzc4)
