Perfect sunny day to be proofreading the galleys of #TheDogSitterDetective 🐶🔍 Plays Dead, third book in the series, to be published in January. I use GoodReader on my iPad, marking up with a Logitech pencil – the closest I can get to the old days of printouts and red pen 👍

Love visiting local bookshops! Yesterday, just under the wire before the end of National Crime Reading Month, me & JM Hall went to the wonderful Truman Books in Farsley. We even met a lovely greyhound, Joe 😍 Signed copies of #TheDogSitterDetective 🐶🔍 are now on their shelves

The progress counter makes it look like I’m further along than I really am, to be honest. Around 10,000 words of this needs a complete rewrite, as several plot points have changed quite a bit since I began drafting. But that’s normal, and every day still brings me a little closer to the end… #TheDogSitterDetective 🐶🔍

(“Deadly rival” is only a working title; this is book 3, but I don’t yet know what the final title will be)
