Spock proposed the theoretical existence of silicon based life, but in #ObserverEffect the NX-01crew seemed to indicate that they had been trained on the deadlines of a potential silicon based viral infection.
I'm trying to imagine the shambling mound creature approaching the power grid diagram and thinking, "Hrm... yes... according to this schematic, if I steal this pump, the bipeds will leave, huzzah!"
