I finished #TheDioFieldChronicle over the weekend. Absolutely bonkers ending, but alas, almost totally unearned. For all the Chekhov’s Guns throughout the story that are raised and discarded (Waltaquin’s necromancy, Iscarion’s flirtations with democracy), the big payoff is set up by only a single optional conversation with Lorraine right before the final mission.
(Sorry about the photos; the game blocks screenshots of the final mission.)
I did a post on Threads (https://www.threads.net/@realinvalidname/post/Cz1NgmrOVK_) asking the algorithm for more stuff I like. No algorithm here (good!), but maybe some hashtags will help find like-minded Mastodonians:

Also, I’m still chugging along in #TheDioFieldChronicle, despite the loss of my favorite character, who died of Edelgard’s Syndrome in the last chapter.
One of the keys to winning battles is to bunch up enemies and hit them with big area attacks, as Fred demonstrates here. #NintendoSwitch
