BTW, LRT: I cannot believe The Compleat Strategist is closing forever.

I first started playing D&D in South Jersey in 1981, and there were no "gaming" stores, just a couple of toy stores, a couple of hobby shops, and a couple of comic book stores.

My parents separated in 1983, we moved back to NYC. The first time I wandered into The Compleat Strategist on 33rd St, I thought I'd died and gone to the Outer Planes.

Today I checked out The Compleat Strategist, a historic tabletop game store (since 1975!) in Manhattan.

Let me tell you, this place is a slice of heaven if you like tabletop games. Amazing selection, knowledgeable staff, good deals, and the wonderful feeling of an old and rusty bookstore.
