THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX makes use of many already seen weird-shit-on-a-spaceship-tropes – sometimes well, sometimes badly, sometimes innovatively, sometimes lazily and sometimes stupidly. What ultimately entertained and made me forgive many of its indisputable flaws is the concept of creating a genre-spanning universe in which all parts have everything and nothing to do with each other. As vague as that sounds.
