A ★★★ review of The Butterfly Effect (2004)
It’s been a good 15 years since I last watched The Butterfly Effect, and I’m legitimately surprised to say it mostly holds up. Ashton Kutcher is fine in the lead role of this wild time travel story about Evan, a young adult who discovers that he has the ability to go back in time through his memories, which causes havoc when he tries to fix the past over and over again. Kutcher has always struggled when it’s time for him to give a dramatic performance, and this is easily his best performance in that respect because he’s allowed to let
