New year, new #TheArmyPainter John Blanche Masterclass paint sets. These two sets are contrasting, independent palettes. They had some fun giving the paints parallel names (though the colors don't quite line up the same way), but IMO the names end up a little too abstract.

(darn it, just missed being exactly a year from my picture of the previous sets)

I got to play a game of #LastDays #ZombieApocalypse with my buddy using all the minis and terrain I have painted so far. It was fun!

We started the encounter taking out each other's leaders, and then proceeded to struggle to secure supplies and remove them from the board.

My patrol officers ended up fighting for two supply tokens, one tucked by the building, and the other a bit too out in the open. After losing a couple more team members to the firepower of my my buddy's SWAT team, I failed my breaking point test and was forced to leave the encounter with no supplies.

My buddy will have the advantage of having secured all the supplies on the board, so I feel like I will be going into the next mission at a big disadvantage! Hopefully we'll get to play again in a few months.

I did some more work cleaning up and weathering my city street. I still need to color match the touch ups on the center line, and do some more weathering on the stripes, but it's in a good spot. I might get a chance to play a game of #LastDays #ZombieApocalypse tomorrow in which case there will be a bunch of glamor shots of our table!

Okay, never mind my last post. 😅 Testing out an awning on my storefront. I decided the last attempt was too big after scrutinizing some reference photos. I think this is more to scale.

I also got a handle and push bar on the glass door using some paper clip pieces. It fell off with super glue, so I'm trying some white glue. It's still a little wet.

Getting started on roofs. For now I have a couple of roof vents made with drinking straws. I'm going to have roofs for five or six buildings and I will add an assortment of roof access, skylights, and HVAC. Some of that may have to wait until spring when I can start 3D printing again.
