„The Ark“: Serie der „Stargate...
Bleeding Cool News has some information on *The Ark* season three, taken from a recent interview with Dean Devlin regarding the new season another of his shows *The Librarians*.
Notably, Devlin says:
“…the first two seasons of 'The Ark' were kind of the pilot of the show, and season three is actually the first of the series in a strange way,..”

A little more than a year after the news first broke that series creator, co-showrunner, and executive producer Dean Devlin and co-showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Glassner's The Ark would be back for a third season, we've got some good news to pass along. During Versant's Upfronts 2026 presentation earlier today, it was announced that […]
*The Ark* on Syfy seems to have a premiere date for its 3rd season — Wednesday, July 29th — based on summer release listings recently posted by Deadline and TVLine. No news on Syfy’s official site as yet.

I’d undertaken to organize Saturday afternoon EDT watch parties for seasons one and two before the season three premiere. Input and feedback would be very welcome.
With just 10 weeks, until the premiere two of these holiday weekends, it would be tight to cover 24 episodes. With two episodes back-to-back and some midweek watches, it might still be workable.
Another challenge is availability of the episodes. A number of licence agreements have run out, and the second season hasn’t been picked up in some markets.
With NBCUniversal trying to sell Syfy, Peacock no longer carries the show in the USA - seasons 1 &2 are only available as digital purchases on Amazon and Apple.
Canada - Crave has 2 seasons.
Australia - Binge has 2 seasons.
France - Universal and SFR Play have 2 seasons.
Germany - WOW and Prime Video have 2 seasons.
Ireland - Sky and Now have 1 season.
Japan -
UK - Sky and Now have 1 season.

I have been in your situation, especially about 20 years ago. There are some good classic ‘take a break’ options out there.
A recent one for me has been *The Ark*, a Devlin-created series running on Syfy. It has something of the aspirational vibe although it takes place just as humanity is coming out of its most self destructive time. It’s got two, twelve episode seasons so far and the third is well into post production but no release date yet announced.
I’m coming back to my undertaking to run a watch/rewatch party for the first two seasons of *The Ark* now that *Monarch: Legacy of Monsters* second season has finished its run. If you’re interested in checking it out with us, follow @thearkchat.
@Phangurl not only did I like it, I liked it so much that I set up @thearkchat!
Why? While the initial apocalyptic scenario that leads to the Ark ship setting out is quite dystopian, the show itself is very positive and aspirational.
Also, strong and sympathetic women, POC and LGBTQ+ characters.
With 12 episode seasons, they seem to be able to manage both wild science fiction type episodes and character- focused ones while keeping the overall arc of the narrative moving forward.
It’s fairly low budget, often cheesy, but if you can look past that, it’s got a lot to offer for Trek fans.
I plan to organize a biweekly watch/rewatch party for the first two seasons so others here can join in. We discussed doing that Saturday afternoons Eastern daylight time (UTC-4) starting this spring. Availability is somewhat dicey in international markets, but hopefully will clear up once the release date of season three is scheduled.
I had hoped to run it earlier but work commitments got it the way and recently I took on the ***Monsterverse*** community on Lemmy. Once *Monarch: Legacy of Monsters* finishes its second season run, I’d like to get *The Ark* watch parties going.
