I'm posting from this account because the character limit is more generous, and it's nice to have the formatting.
For a show that I watched 8 minutes at a time before passing out at night, I enjoyed ThamePo. The reason I watched it is because I love MuTeLuv: Love Lock on which PingPong Suwanun Pohgudsai has the sole writing credit. They also have shared credits on Boys in Love and Kidnap.
William doesn't have textbook perfect chiseled looks like some of my favorite actors, but the way he plays Thame is really vulnerable and endearing and makes him attractive. Est's unchanging Po is authentic and cute with Thame. Mars, the boy band in the show, is very impressive, so I wasn't surprised to learn they are played by a real boy band, LYKN, which formed on a reality TV show. It's interesting to me that Est was the only actor cast, as the other performers were already the band members.
There is almost no skin visible in ThamePo. It's as if the show takes place in the Victorian era. I certainly wake up when Est takes his shirt off. 😂 We don't see both main roles shirtless until episode 9, which fans were excited about because this was a first for William, apparently. I can imagine the contract for the show containing, e.g., "all members of LYKN will remain completely clothed at all times except for one scene with William." 😋
Unfortunately, I found myself laughing at dramatic scenes, which I found myself doing in Khemjira as well. Maybe I'm reading too much into these shows and they're not supposed to be that good. 😅 PingPong's talents are watered down when combined with these other writers.
I don't regret watching #ThamePo and I think it could be a lot stronger.
