- I want a divorce! He does this every year. His NYE gift will be a photo of me, holding an ax.

- My MIL is asking to sleep in our bedroom - on a cot beside our bed. We have 2 guest rooms!

- I'm bagging up turkey carcass bones for my MIL because she makes amazing soup from them!

- My cat freaked out at the new puppy in the house. He tore down the tree, almost all holiday decorations, ripped up part of the couch & pooped on our bed.

Unexpected #Christmas / #holidays #texts continued:

- 6 of our backyard chickens got loose. We've been running around the neighbourhood trying to catch these mothercluckers for over 4 hours!

- I'm pregnant! I'm unsure how I feel about that.

- My teen boy just puked on the dinner table.

- I spent over 6 hours preparing #Christmas dinner. Our dog busted into kitchen, grabbed the turkey & I'm a literal hot mess now - from trying to wrestle the turkey from my dog's mouth & he took off with half the cooked bird. My husband is out, trying to get it from him & is a muddy mess.

- I reunited with my adopted Mom & it went better than expected! She is staying here for a month & we are going to get to know each other better.

- This is the last time I'm hosting a family Christmas dinner! Ungrateful shits! ARGH!

- My cat just pissed on my fruitcake. Fuuuck!
