You know, I just realized something: some people sound â˘flatâ˘. When I read their texts or DMs, they just feel â˘lifeless⢠to me.
Others sound unique (in my head when I read what they've written), but there are some people whose voice just doesn't come through to me.
When I was a kid, my father told me to write the way I think; if I did that (he said), I'd never find myself short for words. I took his advice to heart, as I usually did, and it has served me really well for more than half a century.
When friends read my writing, they always comment that they hear it â˘in my voiceâ˘. Now, they know me, so that's not really proving anything. But I've noticed that when I read what YOU write (in a general sense; I mean everyone on here) I mostly hear you as some sort of voice in my head. It's just that some of youâa definite minorityâhave no â˘character⢠somehow. It's like the voice goes away and it's just words on a screen.
I've noticed that's often the case with scammers and trolls. There's a curious sort of lifelessness to them. You know, I suspect that the same is probably true of AI! Although I haven't tested that theory yet.
Sorry, I guess I'm rambling. But has anyone else had that sort of experience online?
Or is it just me?
