I had seen a few images of this arch for several years, and I had a good idea of where it was located. I had just never gone in search of it before April 6th. I had several hours to spend at the park and fairly mild temperatures for the significant distance and ascent I knew it would require (about 8 miles and 800 ft). I found it, took a quick cell phone snap to send to my husband, tagged the location in my GPS, and promptly lost any trace of light before I could take any other images with my camera.
