My apartment complex had a weird side effect from last week’s #TexasFreeze: the fire alert systems for each building are beeping for some damned reason. Slightly annoying.

What I discovered today while sitting on my balcony: the beeping isn’t happening all at the same time across the complex … and it sounds like a game of Marco Polo played by droids.

We ran out of propane because the gage failed on the tanks. We did not have 79%, we had 7%. This means our heater and stove won’t work and it will be below freezing tonight.

It’s okay though. We have water pressure and a little electric space heater, so we’re much better off than during the #TexasFreeze of 2021 when we had none of the above.
