For #TerryPratchettDay I listened to an audiobook version of The Fifth Elephant. The narrator made Sam Vimes sound just like Sean Bean.

After the obligatory 7.3 seconds of That’s Not How It Sounded In My Head, this is now canon. Vimes = Sean Bean.

My starting point was Hogfather. It was a truly magical introduction to the Disc, and death's ending monologue is one of my favorite pieces of prose.

That said, the Wyrd Sisters is another great starting point.
