#Fight club? Coot fu fighting?
These two Eurasian Coots were going at each other this morning in #Bloeidaal. Lots of splashing and squeaking. Eventually the fight broke up and one had to retreat.

**The following text was written by me on June 19 of last year, during the activation of the RDK and the "Russian Legion" in the Belgorod direction. Replace Belgorod with Kursk, and it becomes relevant once again:**

"We haven't discussed this scenario yet, I believe. So, imagine the following sequence of events:

1. The Ukrainian Armed Forces crush Putin's army's defenses and expel it from Ukraine, while the RDK (Russian Volunteer Corps) secures the territory of the Kursk region.
2. The RDK declares a so-called 'New Russia' in Kursk - you know, a 'Russia without Putin.'
3. 'New Russia' signs a treaty of friendship, cooperation, and military assistance with Ukraine.
4. 'New Russia' asks Ukraine for help in 'defending its territory from Putin's aggression.'
5. Ukraine declares that it cannot abandon an ally who just helped it stand firm in the fight against a common enemy.
6. The Ukrainian Armed Forces cross the border and begin military operations on Russian territory to help the RDK expand its controlled territory.
7. The leadership of the allies issues an ultimatum to the government of 'Old Russia': the offensive will stop immediately after Putin resigns and negotiations with the RDK begin regarding a power transition (the repeal of repressive laws, the restoration of political freedoms, the holding of elections to a Constituent Assembly, etc.).

What I can tell you for sure is that the Russians will not rise up for any 'patriotic war' in this situation. Dying for Putin's right to remain on the throne? No way, we weren't even planning to vote for him anymore!

The country will start to experience processes similar to those seen in Germany in 1918 - when, as a condition for the cessation of hostilities, the Americans demanded the abdication of the Kaiser. At first, he also refused, but since the majority of the population, weary of war and fearing total defeat, wanted peace, dissatisfaction in the country began to visibly grow. People who just a few years ago were eagerly going to the front at the call of the head of state now felt that, for the sake of saving the country, he could abdicate. After all, they reasoned, wasn't he the one who got involved in a war he couldn't win? Understanding that if a full-fledged revolution began, the rebels would sweep away not only the Kaiser but also all other imperial institutions - the monarchy, the Reichstag, the aristocracy, the bourgeoisie, the army, the church - the elites decided to get rid of their now too burdensome leader. The Social Democrat leader Ebert made a deal with the newly appointed head of government, Prince Baden, and he announced the Kaiser's abdication. The latter had no strength left to resist…

To avoid disaster, the Russian elites would be wise to persuade Putin to step down now - while the fighting is taking place in Ukraine and leaving its territory is sufficient for peace. Because after the Ukrainian Armed Forces drive them out, there's no guarantee they'll want to stop. They've already tested the waters in Kursk and Bryansk and found nothing particularly frightening.

It should be understood that if the scenario I've described above is realized, the conditions for peace will be very different. Simply returning what was stolen and paying reparations won't be enough. In this case, the agenda may include reestablishing the political system, lustrations, the RDK as a partner in negotiations, and much more that the current establishment doesn't even want to think about."
