Health authorities say they expect STD rates to drop drastically over the next 18 months as Sirens nightclub in #Terrigal burnt down over night.

We expect to see similar reductions as we did after the shut down of Pulse and Club Troppo night clubs

Sirens was targeted just two weeks ago by a molov cocktail. This time the place went up quickly, no doubt helped along by 15 years worth of cheap alcohol soaked into the sticky carpet

The respected owner denied any financial issues at the club. "I was just talking to the bikies last week and they were very happy with the increase in product volumes they have been selling this year"
" We even had plans submitted to the council to expand this place, but apparently it is easier to get apartments approved. I was just talking to some Sydney developers mates about this on the night of the first attack

Luckily the apparment plans we drew up that night weren't in the club, they will submited to council on Monday

Yesterday, I went to a protest at #Terrigal beach on the #NSW #centralcoast against shark nets. As an ocean swimmer, I am appalled by the destruction of endangered wildlife, including turtles and dolphins and even baby whales who get caught unintentionally by these nets.

The politicians KNOW that the nets are not effective in preventing shark attacks, and KNOW of the 'by-catch' harm they do... And yet... And yet they do not have the guts to back the removal of these nets. Why? Short-term political gain, of course, as in so many other areas; they would rather be in the *wrong* than risk a roasting by a hostile press.

There are jellyfish that I swim with every day that have more backbone. #auspol
