Terret Noir is at a similar percent through veraison as Grenache, maybe 20% overall, though it's a little more uniform because we only have one block. This was one of the most advanced clusters. Note the characteristic large #TerretNoir berries. 5/9

A beauty shot as we head into the weekend that has significance beyond that.
This block, at the westernmost edge of #TablasCreek, is one of America's more interesting (read: obscure) #vineyard blocks. The site is home to several of our rarest #grape varieties, including #Vaccarese, #Picardan, #TerretNoir, #Bourboulenc, and #ClairetteBlanche. Their journey to the US included a stay in quarantine at UC Davis from 7 to as long as 13 years.
