It’s the 18-Year Anniversary of when my mom, Patricia and I first began the 5-month process of recording our album. We started the project on January 3rd and wrapped it up in May (2008).

My new coping mechanism is this lovely Harley Benton 4-string tenor guitar from Thomann.

I'm not a great musician, but I love playing and the resonance of an instrument against my body soothes my soul :)

I've been trying to play tenor #banjo chords on a classical guitar with 4 strings. I think I'm going to need to get longer fingers. Arguably, these are #tenorguitar chords but with space-time stretched. I'm sure the pain will go, given time.
(I forgot to put the capo on 5, to make GDAE into CGDA; and closer together. Not 7! It's "Cats Go", not "Go Cats". Rookie error!)
I have a small GDAE ukulele but it's an octave too high, which is a different type of pain.)

Okay, so there's this powerful queer anthem of a song I'm polishing up, which I usually play on the 12-string, but have been rehearsing on the tenor mostly for ease of counting measures, to square everything up to be "studio ready."

Only, now, I can't decide which is more effective: the tiny but determined sound of the four-string, or the walloping resonance of the twelve.

Try them both out with the band this Sunday I guess.

Fun problem to have, though!
