I posted a video as this was happening and I have to say I'm quite taken with this image. I'm hoping it will be a popular one when I get it in the Gallery tomorrow. My husband had taken a shot from this spot a few days ago but grey skies and mist moved in, he was glad to be able to capture the view again before the sun moves out of the position he wanted for the photo.

My husband left the house at 4.30 am today in an attempt to photograph the moon as it set behind a monument on this cliff. Unfortunately there was too much haze to capture the shot with a telephoto lens, which would have given a tightly cropped very large moon view.
He opted for this wider landscape scene of #TennysonDown on the #IsleofWight instead.
He does already have the telephoto shot in the bag several times over and I liked how the cloud bank slices the moon in two here! #photography

My husband took this last winter when the crashing sea came together with some interesting light. Occasionally the sun picked out the contours in the cliff and the sea spray colliding with the rocks.

I thought I'd share this image of #TennysonDown on the #IsleofWight , taken a couple of years ago by my husband.
This view shows the #MilitaryRoad which has been recognised as one of the most beautiful drives in the UK. On a couple of occasions each year the sun sets in this position and lights up the road. You have to be there at the right time and the weather needs to be kind!
