#TempelhofAirport #Berlin was in operation from 1923 until it closed in 2008. Nazi #architect Ernst #Sagebiel was responsible for the new #building in the neoclassical style starting in 1935. Today the huge adjacent park area, Tempelhofer Feld, is relevant for citizens, and scientists (due to its #urban #biodiversity).
A. Bayat (2025) assume as future option a '#libertopia',a #meetingspace for a fairer idea of society.

The vast #innercity leisure/#naturerefuge "#TempelhoferFeld" in #Berlin is the area around old runways of the former #TempelhofAirport, which is now renaturalized and hosts a great urban #biodiversity. It is also a meeting place for #citydwellers. A. Bayat (2025) describes the #park in his essay and highlights its #future option as '#libertopia',a meeting space allowing a fairer idea of society.
