For here, in the Rhineland, it's a biggish spider.

Aussies are probably chortling to themselves, thinking "that's not a spidah, mate!... THIS is a spidah!" before pulling out a beagle-sized eldritch arachnid horror.

I did a careful survey...

#Maleficent is oot 'n' aboot.

I found #Tekla, but she's buried deep in the cherry laurel, and currently unphotographable.

I also found a THIRD smaller, pale weaver living in the "basement" of Maleficent's bush. Since #Aranea was nixed for Number Two, it shall be resurrected for Number Three.

I'm sure there are more that I haven't found yet, and the "Tekla" I saw may not be the same spider from a few days ago.

Looking for our resident spiders, I found #Maleficent.

#Tekla's webs are gone, and I cannot find her anywhere. I may have inadvertently destroyed it when I tied up the rose. I can't search too hard because our neighbor is out doing snip snip on her terrace, and the area in question borders our domains, and I don't want to be "in her face."

BUT! 😜 I did find "fresh" webbing under the corner of the upstairs balcony, so yet another weaver may be in play.

Both #Maleficent and #Tekla are about, and appear to be happy and zappy... as much as one can tell with spiders.

Pfeffernuss indicated that she saw a THIRD weaver crawling across my scoot-chair, but this has not yet been verified. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I believe I've mentioned that my plan to supplement their diets has been vetoed, right?
