#Teksavvy TV has gone to shit tonight, choppy choppy for both #BlueJays and #OttawaCharge
It's normally very good. Internet service seems fine.

My #Teksavvy internet had an outage that started 24 hours ago. It was solved within 12 hours. But now my cable modem won't connect to the internet, despite all my cable swapping and magical incantions.
Someone will come tomorrow to troubleshoot. That's a looong outage for me. Anyone else in #Toronto experiencing this?

There's a significant development in the saga of website blocking in Canada: Quebec's agency that regulates financial markets is banning cryptoexchanges XT and CoinEx, and to enforce it they got a court order forcing listed ISPs to block the sites: https://lautorite.qc.ca/en/general-public/media-centre/news/major-issues/xtcom-coinex #siteblocking 1/3
Back in June, I posted here about a pair of site blocking orders from a court in Quebec targeting two crypto exchanges, xt-dot-com and coinex. As of today, TekSavvy is blocking those sites, as required by the orders.
If you try to visit them on TekSavvy (or any of the other named ISPs), you'll be redirected to the Quebec government's official info page about the blocking. But for transparency, TekSavvy also published information about it:
