Such hokey dialogue! "Teenagers From Outer Space" is making "Sssssss" look like Citizen Kane!
Something just dawned on me.
It was a long road with many twists and turns. There were definitely setbacks and mistakes. But, #MikePondsmith, creator of #Cyberpunk, #Mekton, and #TeenagersFromOuterSpace, finally achieved every weeb's dream: he made an anime.
So I got Teenagers From Outer Space in physical form. Now I just have to find friends who want to play as alien teenagers enrolling to an Earth school.
I tell my wife that our marriage is the end result of a path that began with #DnD. If you've read this far, you know the first part: D&D led to me joining a college gaming club: The University of Toledo Benevolent Adventurers Strategic Headquarters (UT-BASH).
Our coolest club member, Alex, ran #TeenagersFromOuterSpace games for the club. One night, he realized none of the freshmen had seen the #RockyHorrorPictureShow, and *immediately* drove us 50 miles to the nearest showing. What a friend!
#StarFrontiers went out of print in 1985, but #DnD is forever, and other games entered my world over the years. (Leonard, an #anime fan before it was trendy, introduced our gang to #TeenagersFromOuterSpace.) #ttrpg was the only hobby I had in high-school and college, and Mom always blamed it for me *not* being a straight-A student.
(I'm just bad at math; without gaming, I might be innumerate! And my writing skills improved 100% once a teenage temper tantrum convinced Dad to buy me a computer.)
