I bring you the Filter Shaft End Play adjustment, from the IBM Selectric I And Selectric II Pictorial Reference Adjustment Manual https://archive.org/details/ibm-selectric-i-and-selectric-ii-pictorial-reference-adjustment-manual/page/2/mode/1up

It's full of these hand-drawn technical drawings that i (sort of) learnt to do in school.

Have you checked your Filter Shaft End Play today?

Here's an older telescope technical drawing, the Anglo-Australian Telescope as drawn in 1969.

Unlike the VLT drawings this one would have been done without computer assistance, at a drawing board, with a pencil.

I'm a sucker for technical drawings of telescopes. I came across these today, of a @esoastronomy Very Large Telescope (VLT) Unit Telescope, while looking up some info for my MAVIS project work. The drawings probably date from the early 1990's.

FreeCAD Freddy

For our 3d print workshop I've created FreeCad Freddy.
This is a cute cube like character.
I was trying to create a simple but fun project for others to make when they use FreeCAD for the first time.

The design is just a basic cube with legs and from there you can customize it the way you like!
I gave this one curly hair and a big smile.
Curious to see what you are able to create, enjoy!

I love doing site plans and naming everything, and today I used BIG BUMP for the first time and it made me laugh. 🤣🤣🤣 #siteplan #skatepark #landscapearchitecture #autocad #drafting #constructiondocuments #technicaldrawing #skateboarding #submittal #bikepark

📏 Step 2: Create a classic rectangle
Use the RECTANGLE command. Simply type "RECTANGLE" in the command bar, then select two points in the workspace to draw your basic rectangle. #RectangleAutoCAD #TechnicalDrawing

OK I cheated- there's yet another one

(Actually this is because I found out that the book page count isn't divisible by 4 so I just have to make another spread 😅)
